SUDBURY, ON –Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North Sudbury District Chapter, currently at work on the Espanola 2016 build, is proud to announce an impressive amount of sponsorship support has been contributed from the City of Greater Sudbury community. The Adelaide Street project will provide a home for two families with the construction of a semi-detached residence.
Home Hardware Espanola has signed on to be the build’s title sponsor with an in-kind donation of $30,000. Ted Edie, the Manager of Home Hardware Espanola, has joined the Espanola Build Committee and has named the build Home Owners Helping Habitat.
“For the past 10 years we have helped people achieve their dreams of building a new home or cottage,” Edie says of his Home Hardware team. “Nothing truly inspires people more than home ownership. Habitat for Humanity is an organization that does the same; giving to people who need a little help to achieve their dreams. So it was an easy decision to sit on the build committee, and do what I do best. By helping with the build we are helping members, or future members, of our community”.
Other sponsors include financial contributions from the Lion's Club of Espanola pledging $15,000 and the Royal Purple funding $5,000. Sponsorships of in-kind donations currently include marketing support from Around & About, Reliance Home Comfort supplying two furnaces, Eacom supplying lumber for the build and Roofing Done Right (in conjunction with GAF) providing roofing.
Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North Sudbury District Chapter would like to extend appreciation to sponsors that have contributed to the project. Without this support, the task of building a home would be impossible. Habitat Gateway North Sudbury District Chapter is still in search of further sponsors, and is accepting contributions of in-kind and monetary support.
